3 Reasons Not to Buy an iPhone

Security

Does Apple even bother to perform real world testing of their phones?  A new hack means a couple of taps on your LOCKED iPhone screen will bypass security and give attackers access to all your photos and contact info on your iPhone.  http://thenextweb.com/apple/2016/11/18/iphone-lock-screen-hack/

Reliability

Apple has acknowledged that iPhone 6 models may suffer from touch disease. It means your screen no longer responds to touch and stops working.  But instead of admitting their poor design and fixing this problem under warranty, Apple will charge you $189 to fix this problem.  http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/apple-iphone-touch-disease-1.3856850

Phone Records

Last time I checked the police are required to get a search warrant before they can look at anyone's phone records.  But Apple doesn't even ask your permission to store your phone logs and Facetime calls for the last 4 months on your iCloud server.   These backups are stored in the iCloud even if you have disabled that feature on your iPhone.  Actress Jennifer Lawrence thought the iCloud was secure until all her naked photos were hacked.   http://www.forbes.com/sites/thomasbrewster/2016/11/17/iphone-call-logs-in-icloud-warns-elcomsoft-hackers/#506f4eac2936
